To ensure the safety and quality of the clubs activities and events attendance may be limited however membership is available to all current USC students and staff. To apply for membership to USC Activate use the online process above.

Once you have filled out the application form you may pay via PayPal online, via online banking (bank transfer) Activate is no longer able to take cash payments through the USC Student Guild.

Once your membership is finalised you will be able to keep up to date with all the upcoming trips and social events through this website and Facebook.


Paypal Details for Memberships:

Activate is now using Paypal only, please click the "Pay On-line" button during the confirmation process. This automated process is quicker and will incur less / no transaction fees for members.

Membership Cost:

Membership for six months is $20 and $30 for 12 months. Membership fees will be due for renewal six or twelve months from the date of initial payment.

You must be a current financial member to participate in any of our trips.

The membership fee goes towards maintenance and replacement of club equipment and towards subsidising the cost of certain trips. The costs associated with individual trips (Fuel, Camping bookings, Equipment hire, Camp meals) during the semester are shared equally between all members who attend, based on a price determined by the trip leader.

Member Benefits:

Members can sign up for numerous trips and adventures that the club organizes. On campus activities like slacklining, day trips all around the coast, extended camping, climbing, Kayaking, hiking and 4WD trips. Check the events page on our website to see what is coming up. The club is also a great place to meet people and organise your own private trips.

Members have free access to our club gear, including camping gear (Tents, Mats, Dry Bags, Butane Cookers, Camping tables) and rock climbing equipment (subject to availability). Members must prove their competency and safety knowledge before climbing equipment will be leant out to them. USC Activate provides training and lessons for rock climbing.

Member Responsibilities:

All members must abide by the clubs terms and conditions and should read and understand the Club Constitution. The club is not a commercial provider or a service provider, it is a cooperative organisation run by its members for its members. This means everyone needs to contribute, whether it's in administration, promotions, recruitment, safety, organising trips, helping out on trips or organising social events.

**Please note that USC Activate now has a large number of members. For safety and logistical reasons many of our events have a maximum capacity. This means that some members may miss out on attending some of our more popular events. All of our events are run by members who volunteer their time and effort to organise adventures for the benefit of other members. We are working hard to ensure there are lots of fun weekly events.
